About
I am a third-year PhD student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chicago and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. My research examines the governance of policing and public safety in cities. I study how organizational processes and urban politics shape policy outcomes and produce racial and socioeconomic inequality. At UChicago, I am also a researcher affiliated with the UChicago Justice Project and an Urban Doctoral Fellow at the Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation. I serve as an Assistant Editor for the American Journal of Sociology.
I am also a Graduate Student Research Scholar for the Policing Project at NYU School of Law. Previously, I was a Program Associate in the Redefining Public Safety program at the Vera Institute of Justice in New York City for four years.
